Student Outreach Counselor East Bay
The Office of Student Outreach provides comprehensive services to prospective students, current students, staff, faculty, and members of the community-at-large seeking University information or services concerning outreach, pre-admission advising, transfer credit evaluation and financial aid. This Student Outreach counselor position conducts a full range of enrollment service activities. Under the general supervision of the Director of Student Outreach, this position specializes in generating, cultivating, advising, converting, and yielding prospective students within a defined market territory as well as supporting efforts to meet the University's overall new student enrollment goals.
Director of Student Outreach East Bay
Reporting to the Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management, the Director of Student Outreach is responsible for developing a marketing/recruitment plan and managing the student outreach program to attract an undergraduate class that meets the University's overall enrollment goals. Specific goals include generating prospects and engaging in coordinated outreach efforts to assure the enrollment of academically qualified students and provide service to the University's core region. This position is responsible for developing, executing, and assessing a prospective student communications plan; territory management and assessments; and working in close collaboration with Admissions, the Registrar, Financial Aid, and other campus partners. This position will hire, train, lead, manage and evaluate a staff of 12 full-time professionals. The Student Outreach Director will also serve as the lead representative for the University to outside constituents who are involved in enrollment management activities. This position also oversees the University Welcome Center.
Transfer Admissions Counselor East Bay
The Office of Admissions is looking for an independent, detail-oriented, quick-learning and professional individual to be part of our Transfer Admissions team. Under the general supervision of the Director of Admission and supervising Associate Director, the Transfer Admission Counselor coordinates the processing, evaluation, and advising of applicants for assigned groups. The counselor must follow a wide and complex range of relevant policies when making final admissions decisions. This position is also responsible for advising on Admission requirements, policies and procedures to various audiences including prospective students/applicants, faculty and staff. Working with other East Bay offices, the counselors also participate in the campus-wide effort to recruit prospective students as well as support the transition of admitted applicants to enrolled students.
Accounting Technician II East Bay
This position is under the supervision of the Accounts Payable Manager and is primarily in the Accounts Payable unit. However, duties may also include support within other areas within Fiscal Services. This Accounting Technician II position is responsible for processing pay cycles for all AP invoices, including handling the wire payments in Wells Fargo, along with handling the voids and stop payments. In addition, incumbent will assist with the use of the current travel software, ensuring vendor set ups within the software, and maintaining data integrity, providing some functional support as well as training to end users. Lastly, incumbent will identify, track, and clear Accounts Payable compliance issues including but not limited to STD261s and Defensive driving mandatory coverage requirements. Duties will also include the maintenance of Accounts Payable records and email account.
Employer Relations Coordinator East Bay
Performs duties under the general supervision of the Director of the Career Empowerment Center (CEC) and direct supervision of the Assistant Director of Employer Relations. This position is primarily responsible for developing new and strengthening existing employer and industry partnerships. This includes but is not limited to program development, implementation, and evaluation. The Employer Relations Coordinator also serves as a consultant to academic and employer communities related to employment services; oversees the development of employer relations and employment opportunities within the local and global communities, and supervises the daily operation of employment connection and recruitment services, ensuring efficient and quality customer service and adherence to legal guidelines.
Facilities Maintenance Mechanic East Bay

This position independently performs a variety of skilled preventive and general maintenance, repair, construction, and renovation work on facilities and systems. Director of Development - College of Health & Student Success Initiatives East Bay
Under the supervision of the Associate Vice President for Development, the Director of Development will be responsible for directing a full-spectrum of development and fundraising activities specific to an assigned College (and other Colleges and programs as assigned). The Director of Development will focus primarily on securing individual major gift support ($25,000+) and, to a lesser degree, will facilitate garnering corporate and foundation support. With a high degree of independent judgement, the Director of Development is expected to conduct a minimum of 12 visits per month requiring extensive travel and attendance at evening and weekend events.
Parking Coordinator East Bay
The position operates under the limited supervision of the Director of University Parking & Alternative Transportation Services and works independently to coordinate and perform operational support activities throughout the organization. This includes issuing and billing parking permits and managing other accounts receivables, handling parking citation appeals and collections, coordinating special event parking accommodations, and assisting with customer service to resolve customer issues. The position will also handle cash and other forms of payment, reconcile accounts, and manage collections. Additionally, the role involves supervising 12-15+ Student Assistants responsible for enforcing parking regulations on campus, coordinating day-to-day parking department operations, and providing assistance to faculty, staff, and students who contact or visit the Parking & Transportation office. The position will also provide insights into the parking budget and offer a full range of support functions to support the Parking & Transportation Services Budget.
Content Creator & Digital Communications Specialist East Bay
The Content Creator & Digital Communications Specialist reports directly to the Chief Communications and Marketing Officer (CCMO) for University Communications. This role is responsible for capturing the University’s energy and momentum, raising its profile regionally, nationally, and globally through the strategic use of digital communications strategies such as social media platforms and other online tools. Under the guidance of the CCMO, the Content Creator & Digital Communications Specialist will help enhance the University's reputation by telling and sharing unique stories, promoting student success, supporting faculty-led research, and engaging alumni and the broader community.
Clinical Assistant, PrEPping the Bay (Temporary) East Bay
The purpose of the PrEPping the Bay Program within the Student Health and Counseling Services is to support PrEP navigation services for Cal State East Bay students with the goal of increasing PrEP and PEP initiation and retention amongst students with perceived increased risk for HIV infection. In doing so, this position will assist in the students' optimal state of overall health so they may achieve their academic and career goals. Under the general supervision of the Director of Student Health Services and the Nurse Lead or other designee, the Clinical Assistant performs a wide variety of reception, patient intake and enrollment, electronic health records maintenance and performs various duties to assist with the needs of the PrEPping the Bay program and Student Health and Counseling Services. This is a temporary, full-time grant funded position through June 30, 2025 with the possibility of reappointment.
Administrative Support - PrEPping the Bay Program (Temporary/Part-Time) East Bay
The purpose of the PrePping the Bay Program (PTB) within the Student Health and Counseling Services (SHCS) is to support PrEP navigation services for Cal State East Bay students with the goal of increasing PrEP and PEP initiation and retention amongst students with perceived increased risk for HIV infection. In doing so, this position will assist in the students' optimal state of overall health to support them in achieving their academic and career goals. Under the general supervision of the Director of Student Health Services and the Nurse Lead or other designee, the Administrative Support Assistant performs administrative support duties including but not limited to personnel, payroll, accounting, and procurement processes, electronic health records maintenance, and various other duties to assist with the needs of the PrEPping the Bay program and Student Health and Counseling Services. This is a grant funded, temporary and part-time (20 hours per week) position through June 30, 2025 with the possibility of reappointment.
Assistant Area Coordinator - Temporary Live-In Position East Bay
Employed by the Department of University Housing and Residence Life (UHRL), the Assistant Area Coordinator (AAC) is a full-time, temporary live-in position. The AAC at Cal State East Bay is expected to initiate “high-touch” front-line interaction with students as they develop formal and informal relationships. They are expected to build communities that focus on student learning and development, supporting student needs, and inclusivity for all students. The AAC will support and work with their supervisor and team leader(s) in managing the functions of their assigned residential area. This role will not conform to a standard 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM work day, rather it requires the individual to work evenings and weekends in order to best meet the needs of the community. This is a full-time, temporary live-in position through November 1, 2025 with the possibility of reappointment not to exceed three (3) years from date of hire.
Patient Support Services Lead East Bay
Under the general direction of the Student Health Services Director, the Patient Support Services Lead (Registered Nurse III) is responsible for the operation and oversight of Patient Support Services. This includes but is not limited to front office duties of reception, patient intake and medical records, back office clinical support duties and clinical laboratory functions. This position also provides some skilled nursing services and performs Public Health activities for both the Hayward and Concord campus communities. This position may require occasional coverage at Cal State East Bay’s Concord campus.
DISARC Office Manager (Temporary) East Bay
Under the supervision of the Director, Diversity & Inclusion Student Affinity and Resource Centers (DISARC) and the work lead direction of the Student Leadership and Involvement Center (SLIC) Office Manager, the DISARC Office Manager provides administrative assistant support to the DISARC department. This includes but is not limited to providing front-line reception for students, staff, faculty and guests of the campus, while also providing administrative support to the DISARC staff members. This position will work closely with and assist in the lead work direction of student assistants performing administrative tasks in support of the DISARC department. This is a full-time, temporary position through August 31, 2025 with the possibility of reappointment.
Counselor Faculty in SEAS East Bay
Working under the supervision of the Director of Counseling, the SSP-AR I 12 Month counselor in Student Equity and Success (SEAS) provides intake assessment, crisis intervention, and short-term individual, and couples, and group counseling to students of the University who participate in SEAS programs. The Counselor works collaboratively with the Student Health and Counseling team, the SEAS team, and campus and community partners in a multidisciplinary approach to help students achieve and maintain optimum wellness. The counselor designs and implements outreach programs and serves as a liaison to the SEAS programs. The counselor also contributes to the clinical staff through participating in consultation and trainings, and may also provide individual and group supervision to pre-licensed MFT, MSW, and PCC associates.

Assistant Professor of Writing Languages and Literatures (Composition and Rhetoric) East Bay
The Department of Writing, Languages, and Literature seeks a full-time tenure-track position to serve as administrator, teacher, and scholar who is interested in first year composition curriculum and pedagogy. This role involves teaching undergraduate composition courses, coordinating the composition program, and developing innovative and culturally relevant curriculum. The faculty member should sustain an active research agenda and provide support to university initiatives such as increasing first-year retention rates and eliminating equity gaps for historically underserved students in first-year composition. The successful candidate’s teaching, research, and administrative experience engage with race and ethnicity, gender, sexuality, and ability status and who are prepared to develop and teach writing courses that address interdisciplinary themes of racial/ethnic equity and inclusion, social justice, and environmental sustainability. This faculty position requires demonstrated evidence of training, experience, or research in multimodal literacy and/or AI applications in composition, and working with first year composition faculty in professional development and support.
