Painter East Bay
This position performs the work of a journey level painter. Expectations require knowledge and methods, materials, tools and equipment used in the painting trade including: painting, finishing, drywall, surface preparation, road and parking striping, mold mitigation and a thorough knowledge of applicable state codes and regulations including safety orders, completion of work assignments and completion of daily time cards.
Groundsworker East Bay
The main function of the Groundsworker position is to maintain the campus grounds in a way that provides a safe and aesthetically pleasing environment for the staff, faculty, students and the community.  Under general supervision, this position performs work involving some or all of the following: planting, cultivating, fertilizing, spraying and watering ornamental plants, shrubs, hedges, trees, lawns and flowers. The Groundsworker is also responsible for raking, removing weeds, cleaning trash from assigned areas including parking lots; preparing and treating soils for planting, maintaining hoses, sprinklers, tools, supplies and equipment in proper condition and repair. Additionally, trimming of trees, hedges, shrubs, and install tree supports. This position may operate and perform minor repairs and maintenance on power equipment such as lawn mowers, edger’s, and weed eaters and assist in preparing athletic fields for events.  The Groundsworker  may occasionally assist a in sprinkler repair, spraying, tree trimming, or nursery functions, operate trucks and other equipment in performance of assigned duties. In addition, this position may construct flower beds, maintain drainage systems, remove brush and trees, collects trash, and helps to install concrete and asphalt.
Laborer (Temporary) East Bay
This position will be working at the California State University East Bay campus located in Hayward, California. This position is in the Logistics Department of Facilities Development and Operations. Primary duties include moving heavy objects such as furniture, equipment, materials, and supplies; cleaning applicable equipment; and assisting in other cleaning and or grounds work assignments. Additionally, this position will remove and haul waste and recyclables from designated areas, provide setup for campus events and perform special clean-up activities as needed and use a motor vehicle to transport and deliver heavy equipment or other items.
Equipment Technician I - 10/12 Pay Plan (Temporary) East Bay
The Equipment Technician is assigned to oversee and be responsible for the Music Equipment office. This position is responsible for the repair, maintenance, issuance, movement, set-up, storage, and inventory control of musical instruments, equipment, and accessories for the Department of Music as well as other University departments, University offices, and private parties using property assigned to the Music Department. Please note, this is a full-time, temporary position through July 31, 2025, with the possibility of reappointment. Additionally, this is a 10/12 pay plan position - the incumbent will work 10 months out of the year (August - May) with the salary spread over 12 months.
Project IMPACT (Trio Grant) - Academic Success & Wellness Counselor (Temporary) East Bay
The primary purpose of this position is to provide academic advising and academic wellness counseling to participating students. The Project Impact - Academic Success & Wellness Counselor supports students in completing their post-secondary education by providing targeted advice related to class selection, the development of educational plans and monitors the academic progress of students in the program. Furthermore, the Academic Success and Wellness Counselor provides academic wellness counseling to support students in the development of non-cognitive skills including academic & realistic self-appraisal, growth mindset, locus of control, positive self-concept, motivation and long term goal setting. This position will function as a team member of Project IMPACT and will assist the Project IMPACT Program Coordinator with carrying out the requirements of the grant. This is a temporary, full-time, grant funded position through August 31, 2025, with the possibility of re-appointment for a maximum of three years from the date of hire.

Assistant Professor of Educational Leadership East Bay
The Department of Educational Leadership seeks a full-time tenure-track position to serve as an assistant professor to teach courses in the Ed.D. in Educational Leadership for Social Justice and Preliminary Administrative Services Credential programs. The faculty member in this position will teach and develop courses in the Ed.D. in Educational Leadership for Social Justice and Preliminary Administrative Services Credential programs. Candidates should have a solid grounding in applying critical pedagogies, such as culturally sustaining, humanizing, abolitionist, decolonial, or critical race pedagogies into their teaching praxis. Teaching experience for a successful candidate includes assessment design, lesson design, and course design. We seek candidates whose pedagogy and scholarship reflects extensive expertise/experience collaboratively leading PK-16 institutional transformation and working with diverse student populations, historically minoritized and/or marginalized communities, and educational institutions serving those students/communities.
